The Cheeksters Ground Control to Cheeksters from Peter Cooper's "Hot Spots"
|
|
If space rocker David Bowie lived in Tennessee,
he’d probably sound exactly like The Cheeksters.
Front man and songwriter Mark Casson shares significant vocal
similarities with Bowie, a fact which doesn’t hinder the band’s
enjoyable Skating on the Cusp.
String players Peter Hyrka, Kristin Wilkinson and Gary Tussing
aid the album’s cause, and the whole, multi-layered affair invites and
rewards repeated listening.
