STATESIDE
TWICE AS GONE
New Musical Express - England

Ryan Adams shows no signs of cutting down his prodigious work rate as he'll soon be heard adding vocals to "Twice As Gone", a new album by Nashville-based quartet, Stateside.

Adams appears on "Little Black Dress" on the album, due for release in the U.K. on April 8 through Fargo Records.

Stateside is fronted by John Paul Keith, a member of Adams' Nashville-based side project The Pink Hearts. According to Adams, The Pink Hearts have an entire album in the bag ready for release at any time. The sound is described as 'Nashville punk rock'.

'Twice As Gone' also sees cameos by Brad Pemberton and Billy Mercer, also members of The Pink Hearts and Adams touring band of last year.

Veteran Bucky Baxter, guitarist for Bob Dylan throughout the 90s and an associate of Steve Earle, also appears on the Stateside album.

Meanwhile, Adams himself will be playing at Manchester Apollo on April 7 and London Brixton Academy on April 9. Both shows are NME 5.0 gigs, part of a year-long series to mark NME's 50th anniversary.
