Even though members of this engaging Nashville poppy oriented band have played with Ryan Adams (he sings backup) and The V-roys, there's not alt-country thang going on here, just 12 strong, potent doses of hook-heavy pop, rock 'n roll that have a Stones-y swagger and Superdrag-y charm---a few songs remind us of Not Lame's own Idle Jets, even. In fact, there's little doubt that fans of Superdrag will not be disappointed here...unerringly clean guitar-driven hooks, Replacements dirgey curve-ball thrown in here,12-string chimes there, soulfully graceful strummy melodies all add to a winner, top-to-bottom. Extremely Highly Recommended.
