The Vibraslaps

We had quite a time this past weekend. The Vibraslaps do not make it a habit to play two shows in a weekend, but this time we made an exception.

Thanks to all you fine folks who came down to the Preservation Pub on Friday night. And special thanks to Dave from Fiveman Productions, who sent us a boatload of pictures – you can see some of them in this new photo gallery. Visit Dave’s cool Fiveman Productions website.

We also headed down to play a show down on a farm near Athens, Tennessee. It was a pretend road trip. It was a good time and the margaritas were stout. We even got to take home some sombreros. You can see some pix from that gig here.

Don’t forget, we’ll be at Barley’s on Saturday night, September 20 after the Florida game. All you folks coming in for the game need to spend the evening with us at our Vols victory party. That’s right, we don’t let little things like UCLA beating us get us down. Come one come all.

The Vibraslaps will be making a special appearance at the Preservation Pub next Friday night, September 5. The first 100 fans in the door get a lock of drummer Eric’s hair.

We’ve also updated the website with some new photos in our photo gallery collection. I still have some more to get up there, but that’ll do for now. We’ve also thrown a video up on You Tube – it’s actually cell phone footage from a party back in March, but it’ll do.

Welcome, welcome.  It’s about time we graduated from our rather pedestrian myspace page to a home of our own.

This is indeed your grand central station for all things Vibraslaps. We will continue to update our MySpace page as well as our brand-new Facebook page, which I just set up the other night. If you’re on either one of these sites, you should become one of our friends or fans. What do you have to lose?

We will be adding photo galleries and content to this site and our others as we go along. For those of you who don’t know the history of the band, you may want to take a peek at the bio page. You may learn something, you may not.

We also have a contact page where you can either contact us for booking information or just drop a note to your most favorite (or least favorite) Vibraslap, depending on your mood.

We have had quite a busy summer, playing a handful of private functions along with shows at the Preservation Pub and out at Wild Wings in Farragut. Coming up in September, we’ll be hitting the Pub again on Friday, Sept. 5, then Barley’s after the Florida game on Saturday, Sept. 20. What better way to celebrate our beat-down of the Florida Gaytors than to come down to Barley’s, drink one (or several) of their many excellent beers and shake your moneymaker into the wee hours?

We’ve got more shows coming up later in the Fall, including a Halloween party with a yet-to-be-announced special guest, so stand by for news on that.
